4RF Aprisa XE radios were purchased to replace two obsolete LEDR radio links used to protect Independent Power Producer (IPP) sites at Kerrobert and Loreburn. The protection scheme involved both direct tripping and comm-loss tripping functions.

Key actions:

• Worked alongside a TeleControl partner, each stationed at one of the sites, to simultaneously replace the old radios.
• Took baseline RF measurements to ensure optimal performance.
• Re-commissioned the entire protection scheme during a planned outage, restoring reliable communication and protection.
